One of the typical places you will see here in Okinawa is Love Hotels. Living on this small island, the houses are small and usually an entire family will live together. Grandparents, parents, and children alike. So where is a couple to get some alone time? :) A Love Hotel. There is actually a Love Hotel Alley here, with all sorts of different themed hotels. Of course, we couldn't leave here without trying it at least once!
We went to the Mint House upon recommendation. You never see or personally interact with anyone but each other.
You pull up to a drive thru and push the button of the room you want. The lit up rooms are the available ones.
Drive to your room and shut the curtain.
You rent the room by the hour! Once you want to leave, you pay by phone and bank style tube!
Yet another interesting Okinawan experience.
